Kitten Selection and Pricing

Kitten prices are available upon request. Kittens are placed on a first-come, first-served basis, with adopters choosing in the order deposits are received. We observe each litter for breeder and show quality possibilities before making pet selections. Kittens are ready to go to their new homes at 16 weeks of age.

Securing Your RagaMuffin Kitten

To hold a RagaMuffin kitten, a $500 non-refundable deposit is required. This deposit is deducted from the total adoption fee. Please note that a kitten is not reserved until we receive your deposit. We may be discussing the same kitten with multiple potential adopters, and kittens are placed in the order deposits are received. The full payment must be made two weeks before shipping or pickup. Deposits can be made via PayPal, Venmo, or Zelle upon request.

If you change your mind before delivery, your deposit may be applied to a future kitten, but no cash refunds are provided. If the full payment has been made, it can be applied toward a future RagaMuffin kitten, but again, no cash refunds are offered. We encourage you to ask any questions in advance to ensure you are ready to adopt one of our well-socialized, healthy RagaMuffin kittens.

Health and Vaccination

Our kittens come fully vaccinated with age-appropriate vaccines, spayed or neutered, and microchipped. All breeding cats are tested FeLv/FIV negative. We also perform genetic testing, with all breeding cats testing negative for Ragdoll HCM, PKD1, and other genetic diseases. Although genetic testing does not guarantee 100% detection, we also perform ultrasonic scans on breeders’ hearts and kidneys to detect any potential issues. This comprehensive testing ensures the healthiest cats possible.

Adoption Screening

We reserve the right to decline any application at our discretion. We screen buyers and ask for a veterinary reference. Some kittens may be reserved for breeding programs and will not be available for adoption immediately. Typically, kittens can be chosen at 8 weeks old, allowing us to assess their quality and personalities to place them in suitable homes. Please email us for an application.

Pickup and Shipping

We are located near Aberdeen, SD, and welcome you to visit and pick up your kitten. Shipping within the USA averages $650+, and international shipping varies. Our kittens are registered with ACFA and come with registration papers.

Health Guarantee and Care

We provide a 5-year written health guarantee against fatal genetic diseases. Our kittens are not allowed outdoors, as they lack survival instincts and we do not permit declawing. Kittens are trained to use a scratching post, and new homes should have them ready. Declawing can cause serious health and behavioral issues, such as lameness, arthritis, and inappropriate urination.

Prospective owners must sign a written contract agreeing to these terms. Any breach of contract voids the health guarantee.
